Specialising in works by Tasmanian authors and Tasmanian content, Montpelier Press is an independent publishing house based in Hobart. Initiated in 1999 by a group of dedicated writers and editors, all of whom were committed to literary excellence and the promotion of regional writing.

If you would like us to consider your work for publication, please send an email to or post to:

Your submission should contain:

- A short synopsis of your work (up to 1000-word)
- The total word count if your manuscript is complete
- An indication of the total word count if your manuscript is incomplete
- A proposed chapter outline
- For fiction submissions, attach three sample chapters as a PDF document
- For non-fiction submissions, attach a sample chapter
- A list of any previous publications
- Any relevant information about yourself

We attempt to reply to all submissions within 8 weeks. Please note that we do not discuss submissions by telephone or in person and we cannot provide detailed editorial feedback.
